Operation Backpack

We need backpacks! Thousands of homeless men, women and children live in the United States and do not have basic necessities, such as soap, toothpaste, or a toothbrush. Many shelters provide these items but the reality is that a large percentage of homeless people distrust shelters and social services that could help.

That’s why Colby’s Army decided on a grassroots approach to helping the homeless. Operation Backpack provides new and gently used fully stocked backpacks to the homeless (many of whom are veterans) who for whatever reason will not utilize other services. We work with people who are in daily contact with the homeless who help us identify those who need the backpacks and deliver the packs to them. Here's how you can help. Read more

Anniversary Tree Planting

Roughly two-dozen people gathered in Nashville, Tennessee on July 25th during one of the hottest days of the year to visit and plant a tree in honor and memory of Colby Keegan, the young man for whom our organization is named. It is hard to believe it has been an entire year since Colby passed, but on the anniversary of his passing his mom, many friends, and members of Colby's Army gathered to do something that would have been meaningful to Colby.
