Cheryl Brickey (Board President)
Cheryl Brickey’s strong leadership and background in business is an invaluable asset to Colby’s ArmyTM. She is the past Manager-Sales Support and the past Manager-Channel Support for GTE. There, she developed, implemented, and managed process and procedures for direct sales and sales teams, worked with teams to define process flow from initial customer contact to service completion, and assisted with process development. She also managed staff that provided direct support to call and provisioning centers, supported product managers for new product roll out; and reviewed financial summaries of expense, capital, and revenue for business development and new initiatives. Cheryl has supervised production of sales curriculum and technical support, and managed voice and data engineers, project managers, sales associates, and proposal development staff. She developed and implemented inter-office procedures for GTE, provided support in forecasting sales activity, and identified risks. Additionally, she assisted in evaluating financial and operational results to ensure revenue, capital, and expense operation plans were adequately supported. Teaming with Human Resources to re-evaluate positions and update national position questionnaires for employee placement, Cheryl developed and delivered new hire sales training, and represented GTE for voice and data in customer presentations. Cheryl lives in Potosi, Missouri.
Brenda Cline
Music industry veteran Brenda Cline is a visionary, diversely skilled, and a creative thinker. An Oklahoma native, Brenda has a background in modeling, modeling instruction, imaging, career development, business administration, booking talent, restaurant and nightclub management. In her early twenties, after modeling in New York City, Brenda started a business for women that specialized in portraiture. She also gave motivational seminars on career development, imaging, and poise for women in the corporate world. Brenda moved to Nashville, spearheaded industry events, and founded Artist Concepts an artist development and management company and the first of it’s kind in the Nashville music industry. Brenda then organized the “Young Riders" and dedicated herself to each member's development, image, stage presence, and musical direction. This talented group included Rachel Proctor, Blake Shelton, Robin English, Kenny Horton, Amber Leigh, Ryan Murphy, and Tom Wurth. The group's unique performances gained attention from industry executives and resulted in publishing and recording contracts. Brenda also negotiated recording contracts for management clients, and has been involved in special projects with well-known artists and new artist/writers for Warner Chappell Music. Brenda then founded NashRock Entertainment, a consulting company for development and management of artists from all genres. She also managed country-rock super group, Burrito Deluxe. She has overseen development, distribution, recording, marketing, and promotion for Luna Chica Records; and created and produced the upcoming television program, In House Concerts, a weekly show that features performances by guest artists. Recently, Brenda was asked to head Luna Chica Records as General Manager and Director of A&R. Brenda also organizes charitable events and benefit concerts, and serves on several committees. With a strong desire to make a difference, she reaches out to families and friends of those suffering from mental illness, actively advocates for the mentally ill, and serves on the Executive Board of NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Illness) and on the Board of Directors for Grandpa's House. Brenda is a member of the Country Music Association, the Americana Music Association, and NARAS. She lives in Franklin, Tennessee.
Cindy Johnson
Cindy’s passion for protecting artists’ creations as well as clients’ treasures whether it be their home or family has provided the foundation for her law practice. The practice includes estate planning and probate as well as entity formation and entertainment contract negotiations. Combining these areas of law, she conducts seminars and workshops for the Continuing Education for the Bar, the Screen Actors Guild Foundation, American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (A.F.T.R.A.) and other entertainment guilds and unions. Cindy holds a Masters Degree in Entertainment Law from Southwestern University School of Law’s Don Biederman Entertainment and Media Law Institute. She is the immediate Past-President of the 9,000 member Barristers Section for the Los Angeles County Bar. She is also Treasurer of Southwestern Law School’s Alumni Board, and a member of the Beverly Hills Bar Association, Irish-American Lawyer’s Association, and the Cowboy Lawyer’s Association. In her life before law, Cindy worked successfully behind and in front of the camera as a producer for a live talk show, The Carol Lawrence Show, as an actress starring in hundreds of national radio and television commercials including surfing on an ironing board for York Peppermint Patty; and as a professional cheerleader dancing for the Portland Trailblazers NBA team. She is a twenty-five-year member of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists and a twenty-four-year member of the Screen Actors Guild. Cindy lives in Brentwood, California.
Rick Stevens
A well-known booking agent and concert promoter, Rick found success as a songwriter, and as a country music artist on Broken Bow Records. Always interested in the business side of things, Rick then received national recognition in insurance, financial and automotive sales. In fact, for several years, Rick was the top salesman at the top GM truck leasing dealership in the country. He also headed one of the country’s top automotive sales teams and enjoys motivating others to succeed. Many national companies have used his innovative sales, promotion, and marketing ideas successfully, and he has recently taken his unique skills in the entertainment industry and in business to television. Look for his name in the production credits of an upcoming music-based reality show. Rick has also organized many charitable events, and arranged funding for numerous business ventures. Rick lives in Bakersfield, California.
Lisa Wysocky
Lisa Wysocky is an author, equine clinician, and motivational speaker who also trains horses for and consults with therapeutic riding programs across the country. Lisa has a degree in Equine Management and early success on the national show circuit took Lisa across North America. She then ventured into writing and the music business. Six years as a correspondent for Nashville's afternoon paper, the Nashville Banner, piloted Lisa to a career in public relations. She opened her own firm in 1989. Additionally, Lisa has headed several independent record labels, written a weekly syndicated celebrity lifestyles column, and has been a regular featured guest on Jones Radio Networks syndicated overnight show, Danny Wright All Night. Lisa is the co-author, with Brad Cohen, of the award-winning motivational book Front of the Class: How Tourette Syndrome Made Me the Teacher I Never Had. Front of the Class has been seen on Oprah and Inside Edition and in People magazine. It also aired as a Hallmark Hall of Fame television movie on CBS. Her book and DVD, My Horse, My Partner: Teamwork on the Ground help horse and human partners form amazing bonds. And, Lisa combines her love of horses and both country music in Horse Country: A Celebration of Country Music and the Love of Horses. Lisa is a registered level NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped) instructor and recently was chosen as one of the country's Top 50 riding instructors by ARIA (American Riding Instructor's Association). Her charitable works have aided, among others, the National Brain Injury Association, the American Lung Association, the Silent Witness Initiative, the National Captioning Institute, and the TJ Martell Foundation. Lisa lives in Nashville, Tennessee.
